TODO — no attacker address publicly disclosed on any of the five affected chains; a truncated BSC transaction hash (0xe594e1d7ac...) was posted by Realio's own official X account but never completed.

Linked

No attacker addresses have been publicly disclosed across any of the five affected chains. Realio's L1 treasury and user-held assets on Algorand and Stellar were both affected; RIO on those two chains was subsequently declared a 'dead asset'.

Chronology

1 beat
  1. On August 25, 2026, an attacker compromised a signing key controlling Realio Network's treasury across five separate chains: its own Realio L1, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Algorand and Stellar. Independent reconstruction puts the total at approximately 129.5 million RIO (113.7M from treasury plus 15.8M from roughly 2,374 user accounts), of which only about $338,700 (6.2% of the nominal value) was actually converted to liquid value, given thin liquidity on the affected chains; the sell-off was spread over several days across Stellar, Ethereum, BNB Chain and then Algorand. The network was halted at 10:38 UTC. RIO on Algorand and Stellar was subsequently declared a dead asset. No recovery has been publicly reported, and no attacker address has been disclosed in full on any chain; Realio's own official X account posted a truncated BSC transaction hash appealing to Binance for assistance, but it has never been completed to a full identifier in any available source.
