Linked

Multisig configuration (3-of-5 Squads) was compromised; a prior SolidProof audit had flagged that upgrade authority, administrator, seizure delegate and freeze authority were all controlled by a single wallet, a known architectural red flag.

Chronology

1 beat
  1. Between September 10 and 11, 2026 (exploit confirmed at 00:23:28 UTC on the 11th), an attacker compromised Dominion Market's 3-of-5 Squads treasury multisig on Solana, controlling the $SILV silver-backed token. The attacker dumped 46,909.12 SILV into thin liquidity pools, breaking the peg; while the facial value dumped approached $2.98M, only $238,000 (2,402.32 SOL) was actually realized due to slippage. The protocol subsequently froze 2,819 accounts (33% of the token's supply) using its permanent delegate authority, rotated compromised hardware, and opened USDC refunds for affected holders on September 14. A pre-incident SolidProof audit had already flagged that the protocol's upgrade authority, administrator role, seizure delegate and freeze authority were all controlled by the same single wallet — an architectural weakness that likely amplified the severity of the compromise. Full attacker addresses remain truncated even in the dedicated Bitquery investigation of the incident.
